Earth Day Celebration at Maharishi Vidya Mandir Public School, Kotdwar (Uttarakhand)

Earth Day 2026 was celebrated at Maharishi Vidya Mandir Public School, Kotdwar, with great joy and enthusiasm.

Students and teachers actively participated in various programs organized to mark the occasion.
The celebration began with a special morning assembly. During the assembly, students and teachers delivered inspiring speeches highlighting the importance of protecting our planet. Students also presented poem recitations, while the little children performed a beautiful dance, adding joy and excitement to the celebration.

After the assembly, drawing, poster-making, and slogan-writing competitions were organized. Students participated enthusiastically and showcased their creativity through wonderful drawings and meaningful slogans. Their artworks were later displayed for parents and guests, who appreciated the students’ efforts and creativity.

During the assembly, teachers and students spoke about how to preserve and protect our Earth and the small steps we can take in our daily lives to care for the environment.

The Principal of the school, Ravindar Singh Gusain, also addressed the gathering. He spoke about our beautiful planet Earth—our home—and explained why it is unique and why it is our responsibility to protect and preserve it.
At the end of the program, the Principal encouraged students to take a pledge to protect the Earth in every possible way. Students promised to make the planet greener by saving electricity, conserving water, and caring for nature.

A special oath to save water was taken by all the students and teachers. They pledged not to waste water and to use it wisely, recognizing that water is one of the most precious resources on Earth.

The program concluded with great enthusiasm. Students thoroughly enjoyed the activities and left with a strong promise to protect and preserve our planet for a better future.

Felicitation of Class X Toppers (Session 2025-26)

The first three toppers of Maharishi Vidya Mandir Public School, Kotdwar were felicitated for their outstanding performance in the CBSE Class X Board Examination.

The proud parents of the toppers were also honoured for their continuous support, encouragement, and dedication towards their children’s success.

On this special occasion, the parents expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the school for its guidance, support, and dedicated efforts, which helped their children achieve 90+ marks in every subject.

It was truly a proud and memorable moment for the entire school community. 🎓🏆

Baisakhi and Ambedkar Jayanti Celebration 2026-

On the occasion of Baisakhi and Ambedkar Jayanti, a special programme was organized at Maharishi Vidya Mandir Public School, Kotdwar.

Various activities were conducted during the celebration.
A Fancy Dress Competition on the theme of Baisakhi was organized for the Pre-Primary classes, while a Solo Dance Competition on the theme of Baisakhi was held for Classes III, IV, and V.

An Inter-House Group Dance Competition on the theme of Bhangra/Giddha was also organized.
In addition, an Inter-House English Elocution Competition was conducted on the topic “Dr. B. R. Ambedkar”, highlighting his life and contributions to the nation.

Students actively participated in all the programmes and showcased their talents, which were highly appreciated by the audience.

The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the school Principal, Mr. Ravindar Singh Gusain. The celebration concluded with an inspiring speech by the Principal, highlighting the significance of Baisakhi and the ideals of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.

Today, a Transcendental Meditation Camp and Speech Competition was organised at Maharishi Vidya Mandir Public School.

The competition was open to everyone, and many participants, including both students and teachers, actively took part in the event.

The programme began with the lighting of the lamp by the respected Principal of the school, Mr. Ravindar Singh Gusain, marking an auspicious start to the event.

All the participants beautifully expressed their thoughts on the topic of Dhyan (Meditation), highlighting its importance, need, and benefits in our daily life.

At the end of the programme, certificates were distributed to all the participants by the principal of the school Mr.Ravindar Singh Gusain, and the winners were honoured with trophies & certificate for their excellent performances. 🏆

A Transcendental Meditation Camp was organised at Maharishi Vidya Mandir Public School, Kotdwar on 12 March 2026. The camp was conducted under the guidance of experienced teachers and meditation experts with the objective of spreading awareness about the importance of meditation for mental peace, stress reduction, and overall development of human life.

During the programme, the guests and participants were warmly welcomed. The speakers introduced the concept of Transcendental Meditation and explained its significance in today’s busy and stressful life. They highlighted how regular practice of meditation helps in improving concentration, enhancing creativity, reducing anxiety, and promoting physical as well as mental well-being.

The experts also explained the proper procedure of practising Transcendental Meditation. Participants were guided about how meditation can be easily practised daily to achieve inner calmness, clarity of mind, and balanced emotions. The session was highly interactive and informative for all the attendees.

In addition, detailed information was shared about the Maharishi Jan Jagaran Abhiyan (MAJA). The speakers explained that this campaign aims to spread spiritual awareness among people and encourage them to adopt meditation as a way of life.

The audience was also informed about the Maharishi World Peace Movement, which works towards creating harmony, unity, and peace in society through the practice of meditation and the teachings of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. The speakers emphasised that when individuals experience inner peace through meditation, it naturally contributes to peace in families, communities, and the entire world.
All the participants & guests listened with great interest and enthusiasm. The camp proved to be highly inspiring and beneficial for everyone present. Such programmes help in developing a positive mindset and encourage people to lead a balanced and peaceful life.

The programme concluded with a message from Principal of the school Mr.Ravindar Singh Gusain, encouraging everyone to practise Transcendental Meditation regularly and contribute towards building a peaceful and harmonious society.

Maharishi Adhyatmik Jan Jagran Abhiyan (MAJA) Celebrations at Kanva Ashram, Kotdwar.

The serene and sacred landscape of Kanva Ashram recently resonated with spiritual energy as it hosted the Maharishi Adhyatmik Jan Jagran Abhiyan (MAJA). The event was a harmonious blend of profound wisdom, rhythmic devotion, and a tribute to the timeless teachings of His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ji.

The proceedings began with a warm Welcome and Introduction by the Programme Coordinator, Sarita Ma'am followed by the auspicious Lamp Lighting Ceremony and Guru Vandana. The flickering flames symbolized the dispelling of ignorance, setting a sanctified tone for the event.

The intellectual heart of the programme featured a series of enlightening discourses:
Ashish Sir introduced the vision behind MAJA, emphasizing spiritual awakening for the masses.
Vaishali Ma'am delved into the transformative power of Dhyan (Meditation), guiding the audience toward inner peace.
Nirmala Ma'am spoke passionately about the Maharishi World Peace Movement, while Neelam Ma'am paid a touching tribute to the life and legacy of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi ji.
The historical significance of our venue was brought to life by Babita Ma'am and Prashant Sir, who shared insights into Kanva Ashram as the birthplace of Bharat and its storied history.
Devotion found its voice through soul-stirring musical performances. The School choir and teachers led several bhajan sessions that filled the air with tranquillity.

Highlights included:
A graceful Ganesh Vandana by Shalini Ma'am .
An energetic sequence by Pankaj Sir, featuring the Rudra ashtakam, Hanuman Chalisa, and Hanuman bhajan.
Devotional solos including Babita Ma'am Shiv Bhajans, Neelam Ma'am Krishna Bhajan, and Shalini Ma'am Guru Bhajan.

The event drew to a close with an inspiring Principal Sir address, echoing the need for spiritual grounding in modern education.

Sarita Ma'am delivered the Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to all who made this spiritual journey possible.

The day concluded on a sweet note with the distribution of Prasad by the school teachers, leaving every attendee with a sense of peace, purpose, and divine blessings.
