"ഡോക്ടറേ, ഈ മരുന്ന് കഴിച്ചാൽ എനിക്ക് അഡിക്ഷൻ (Addiction) ആകുമോ?" 🤔 ഒട്ടുമിക്ക രോഗികളും ചോദിക്കുന്ന ഒരു പ്രധാന ചോദ്യമാണിത്. ഇതിന്റെ യഥാർത്ഥ വസ്‌തുത ഇതാണ്:

ഉത്കണ്ഠ (Anxiety) കുറയ്ക്കാൻ നൽകുന്ന ചില മരുന്നുകൾ (ഉദാഹരണത്തിന്: Diazepam, Lorazepam) ദീർഘകാലം അശ്രദ്ധമായി ഉപയോഗിച്ചാൽ ശീലമായേക്കാം. എന്നാൽ ഭൂരിഭാഗം സൈക്യാട്രി മരുന്നുകളും അഡിക്ഷൻ ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നവ അല്ല.
