2–4 hours of daily screen time has quietly become normal for young children—but it comes at a cost.
Children learn to speak through interaction, not isolation. Conversations, eye contact, and play are essential for building language and social skills. When screens replace these moments, we begin to see speech delays, shorter attention spans, and reduced interest in the real world.
A screen can entertain, but it cannot truly engage.
Let’s be mindful. Reduce screen time. Encourage conversations, play, and real human connection—because childhood is meant to be experienced, not scrolled through.
