Hello, I’m Dr Sumit Malhotra (Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon at Apollomedics Hospital Lucknow). As we celebrate Diwali, let’s also stay safe with a few simple tips!

Tip 1: Wear Cotton Clothes- Opt for cotton clothes over synthetic to minimize burn risks, especially around firecrackers.

Tip 2: Diyas & Lights in Open Areas- Place diyas and candles in open spaces, away from flammable items. This helps prevent accidents.

Tip 3: Burn Care- In case of a burn, skip home remedies. Rinse with cool water, apply cream and visit hospital for immediate care.
