It's a ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ฆ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ข๐ง๐ฏ๐๐ฌ๐ข๐ฏ๐ ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ ๐๐ซ๐ฒ for the removal of the whole gall bladder with stones. Standard four-port ( 5mm to 1cm incisions) Cholecystectomy is the safest way of doing as accepted worldwide. The surgery duration is around 30 min to 1 hour. In complicated gallstone disease with pus formation, it will take more time.
๐๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ-๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ ๐๐ซ๐ฒ ๐ฐ๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐๐ฌ are usually closed by absorbable stitch which does not need removal.
๐๐จ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ข๐ญ๐๐ฅ ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ฒ: can be done as daycare. Most patients can be discharged after the next day. More than 24hour stay only in cases of complicated disease.
๐๐๐๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ฒ: Most patients start oral intake in a few hours post-surgery. Most can start walking after a few hours. Complete recovery ( free of fatigue/ weakness/ pain/ normal bowel movements) will take up to5 to 10days depending on the patients functional status and pain tolerance.
