An industrial designer develops the concepts for manufactured products, such as cars, home appliances, electronics, and toys. They combine art, business, and engineering to make products that people use every day.

A bachelor’s degree in industrial design, architecture, or engineering is usually required for most entry-level industrial design jobs. It is also important for industrial designers to have a professional portfolio with examples of their best design projects. Most design programs include the courses that industrial designers need in design: sketching, computer-aided design and drafting (CADD), industrial materials and processes, and manufacturing methods.

Many schools require successful completion of some basic art and design courses before entry into a bachelor's degree program. Applicants also may need to submit sketches and other examples of their artistic ability.

BDes Industrial Design imparts knowledge about the concepts of designs and its ex*****on of the same idea on any given product. BDes Industrial Design is a four year undergraduate course for the students having the creative ability, digital skills and visualization skills. The curriculum of BDes Industrial Design is designed in a way that gradually increases in complexity levels and covers broad areas that product designers will come across in their professional careers. The topics included in this course are Product Engineering Drawings, Product Design, Global Immersion Programme, Design Management etc. Admission to BDes Industrial Design course is based on Merit Basis but few colleges intake students on the basis of marks scored at the Intermediate level. The average course fee is INR 40,000 to 1.5 lakh, and the maximum salary offered to such professionals is around INR 7 LPA, increasing with experience and expertise.

BDes Industrial Design graduates can work as Product Designer, Industrial Designer Researcher, Art Director, Desktop Publisher, etc. They can also work in industries including Media, Public Relations, Communications, Education and Business.

CBI
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), functioning under Dept. of Personnel, Ministry of Personnel, Pension & Public Grievances, Government of India, is the premier investigating police agency in India. It is an elite force playing a major role in preservation of values in public life and in ensuring the health of the national economy. It is also the nodal police agency in India, which coordinates investigation on behalf of Interpol Member countries. The Supreme Court, the High Courts, the Parliament and the public, holds CBI as an organization in high esteem. The CBI has to investigate major crimes in the country having interstate and international ramifications. It is also involved in collection of criminal intelligence pertaining to three of its main areas of operation, viz., Anti-Corruption, Economic Crimes and Special Crimes. A Director heads the CBI. The other police ranks in CBI are- Special Director/Addl. Director, Joint Director, Deputy. Inspector General of Police, Inspector, Sub-Inspector, Assistant Sub-Inspector, Head Constable and Constable.

Criminology is the study of crime from a social perspective, including examining who commits crimes, why they commit them, their impact, and how to prevent them. It is a branch of sociology, which traditionally examines human behaviour, interaction, and organization. However, it also ties in research and concepts from other areas of study, such as philosophy, anthropology, biology, and psychology. Criminologists examine a broad range of topics related to crime. They are dedicated to studying not only the causes of crime but the social roots and impact as well. The end goal of criminology is to determine the root causes of criminal behaviour and to develop effective and humane means for preventing it.

In essence, criminologists examine every conceivable aspect of deviant behaviour. That includes the impacts of crime on individual victims and their families, society at large, and even criminals themselves.

Some of the specific areas that criminology covers include:

Frequency of crimes
Location of crimes
Causes of crimes
Types of crimes
Social and individual consequences of crimes
Social reactions to crime
Individual reactions to crime
Governmental reactions to crime
Criminologists conduct research and analyse data to help understand, deter, and prevent crime. They also develop theories based on the research they conduct to help translate data into action. Some criminologists also evaluate, develop, and implement criminal justice policies and procedures. An individual who graduates from a criminology program is not limited to just working as a criminologist, although that in itself is a very rewarding career. Graduates may initially work as criminologists but decide they want more of the “real action” and pursue similar criminal justice careers as federal law enforcement investigators, detectives or police officers. Some of the career opportunities available to criminology graduates include:

Federal law enforcement investigators
Police officers
Detectives
Prison officers
Community development workers
Probation officers
Social workers

*Maths, physics, chemistry not compulsory for B.E, B. Tech degrees: AICTE*

Aspiring engineering candidates do not necessarily need to study physics, chemistry or mathematics in class 12 to be eligible for the programme. In a recent development, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the technical education regulator, has made these subjects optional for the admission to UG engineering courses, BE and B. Tech.

The revised rules have been announced in AICTE’s recently-released Approval Process Handbook 2020-2021. According to the new regulation, students have to pass 10+2 with any three of the following subjects: Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Information, Technology, Biology, Informatics Practices, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational subject, Agriculture, Engineering, Graphics, Business Studies, Entrepreneurship.

AICTE’s revised regulation is in line with the National Education Policy’s vision that students should be offered more flexibility in their choice of subjects, especially in secondary school, so that they can chart their career and life path better.

Bridge courses will be offered by universities on mathematics, physics, engineering drawing, etc. for students of diverse backgrounds.

🙏🙏💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐*CBSE Board Exams 2022: Term-I Sample Paper Released, Check New Pattern*
🙏💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched a sample paper for the board exams 2022. In the first, the batch of 2022 will have two board exams - term-I and term-II. The sample paper for term-I is available at cbsc.nic.in. While the board is yet to release a detailed schedule, while announcing a change in exam pattern, the board had said that the term-I exams will be held in November-December. The term I exams will consist of multiple-choice questions including case-based MCQs and assertion-reasoning type MCQs.

Exams will be held in schools, however, the question paper will be prepared by the CBSE, centrally to ensure an equal level of difficulty. The term-end exams will be of 90-minutes duration - half the time of the mainstream exams. Correspondently, in each term, half of the total syllabus will be considered. The syllabus for the upcoming boards will be rationalised. For 2021 too, the board had reduced the syllabus by30 per cent, however, due to the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, the exams could not be held.

*CBSE Board Exams 2022 Sample Paper: How to download*

*Step 1* : Go to cbsc.nic.in

*Step 2:* Click on ‘academic portal’

*Step 3* : Click on the sample paper link

*Step 4* : Sample paper will open in PDF form, download

The final result will be constituted based on term-I, term-II exams as well as internal marks. This year, the internal assessment will be given more credit, and data collection will start from the beginning of the new academic year onwards. CBSE has asked schools to prepare a profile for each student under which they will add the performance of students throughout the year. Schools will have to upload marks on the CBSE IT platform.

Not just 10th, 12th, CBSE will track assessment of students in younger classes too. As per the SAFAL policy, classes 3, 5, and 8 will also be assessed centrally and their learning outcomes will be recorded and feedback will be offered to improve the performance of both students and schools.

*Engineering Courses Now Offered in Five Regional Languages; English Still a Must*

AICTE has allowed colleges to offer engineering degrees in regional languages. In the first phase, courses will be offered in as many as five languages — Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali — from the new academic year (2020-21). The AICTE is translating courses and creating online and offline content in 11 different languages.

Offering courses in the Indian languages is one of the suggestions under the National Education Policy (NEP) which states that no student should be discriminated against in higher education institutes due to their language preference. The AICTE, however, also suggests that engineering students had shown an interest in studying in their mother tongues.

AICTE had earlier this year conducted a survey of undergraduate engineering students in which nearly half (43.79%) of students said they want to study in regional languages. The survey was conducted with a total of 83,195 students from across the country. Most of the students, according to the AICTE survey, wanted to learn Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu – 12,487, 7,818, and 3,991, students.

While the IITs have not yet agreed upon delivering courses in regional languages citing several reasons including lack of availability of quality faculty amongst others, a total of 14 colleges across nine states have expressed interest in offering engineering programmes in regional languages. This includes B. Tech Computer Science, IT, mechanical, civil, electrical, and electronics, informed AICTE.

To ensure quality education, the AICTE will conduct faculty development programmes (FDPs) for the institutes willing to offer multilingual engineering education.

*English still a must*

For students who will be studying in regional languages, English will be a mandatory subject.

“Students shall have to take a mandatory English course in all four years so that they are able to acquire necessary skills in the English language and are capable of getting employment in any part of the world,” said AICTE

The AICTE also warned that commonly used scientific and technical terms will not be translated in regional languages in order to maintain uniformity. “They shall continue to be used as is used in the scientific literature for easy mobility of students later.”

Whether or not a college wants to offer multilingual degrees, English-only or regional language programmes will be a choice of the college based on the choice of students and availability of faculty.

To be eligible to offer a course in regional languages, the college will have to have a valid NBA accreditation in the programme. This is set as a prerequisite to “ensure that good quality institutes and programmes alone are made available to regional language courses,” 💐

💐💐💐💐👍👍👍👍💐💐💐NEET, JEE Main 2021: NTA Drops Age as Tie-Breaking Factor, How will Rank List be Calculated Now*

If two candidates score a similar score in JEE or NEET - national level exams held for engineering and medical entrances, respectively - the age of the candidates will no longer be a factor to break the tie.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has removed the provision of giving priority to older candidates in rank lists of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2021 for engineering and the National Eligibility cm Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 for medical admissions.

In NEET 2020 the age factor was used to decide the all-India topper as two students, Odisha’s Soyeb Aftab and Uttar Pradesh’s Akanksha Singh both scored 720 out of 720. Soyeb was given all India rank 1 as he was older than Akansha, however, this policy will not be considered from this year on. This can be a huge game-changer in JEE and NEET results.
This year’s JEE and NEET information booklets do not mention candidates’ age as a criterion for the tie-breaking policy.
Similarly, this year in the NEET examination, the ties between two students will be resolved in this order— Candidate obtaining higher marks/percentile score in Biology subject will be given preference, followed by higher marks in Chemistry and if tie still remains then candidate with less proportion of attempted incorrect answers in all the subjects will be favoured.

With this huge change, it is predicted that the final merit lists of both the national exams will have multiple candidates on the same ranks.
