The Department of Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge at Saraswati Dental College,Lucknow celebrated World Prosthodontist Day on 22nd January 2024. With the blessings of the esteemed chairperson of the institution, Mrs. Madhu Mathur, President Dr. Rajat Mathur, Director finance Mr. Charit Mathur, Director SHRC Mrs. Smita Mathur and Director Human Resources, Mrs. Ritu Mathur. The event was inaugurated by the respected Principal of the institution, Dr. K. N. Dubey, Dean-PG studies Dr. Kunal Sah, Dean-UG Studies Col. Dr. Anil Jha and the Head of the Department of Prosthodontics Dr. Devendra Chopra.
World Prosthodontist Day is observed every year on the 22nd of January to
commemorate the contribution of the fraternity of Prosthodontics. It is indeed a
proud day for all the Prosthodontists around the globe.
The entire department was beautifully decorated. A scientific E-poster competition was conducted for the interns on the topic “Aftercare of Complete Denture in Geriatric Patients”. Also, teeth arrangement competition was organized for the final year students. The non-teaching staff were given a token of appreciation for their undeniable support.
The principal of the institution, Dr. K. N. Dubey spoke about the importance of the
branch of Prosthodontics and appreciated the honest efforts of the faculty, residents
and students of the Department. The Head of Department of Prosthodontics Dr. Devendra Chopra addressed the gathering and shared his words of encouragement.
