🌟 A Miracle of Love and Hope: Umma’s Journey Back to Family 🌟

At Paul Mercy Home, we are blessed to witness incredible stories of resilience and recovery every day. But Umma’s story is truly one for the ages.

On March 24, 2024, our team discovered a 70-year-old woman, frail and mentally distressed, sleeping on the streets of Telibagh. Her condition was heartbreaking—abandoned, lost, and in pain. When we approached her, she spoke of her children and a place in Bihar, but confusion clouded her words. Despite the trauma and pain, Umma’s spirit still held on to hope.

Our team at Paul Mercy Home took Umma in with open arms, offering her love, care, and the support she needed. With patience, understanding, and prayer, we helped her begin to heal. Slowly but surely, Umma regained her strength and sense of peace. But the best part of this story? She remembered her family. 🌸

Through the dedication of our team and the collaboration with local authorities, Umma’s family was located after 35 long years. On March 26, 2025, Umma was reunited with her grown children, now surrounded by grandchildren she had never met. There were tears, laughter, and overwhelming joy as the family embraced their long-lost mother.

Umma’s reunion is a testament to the power of love, hope, and the tireless work of compassionate souls who never give up. We are honored to have been part of her journey and to see the strength of the human spirit shine through.

✨A reminder to all: Love knows no boundaries, and hope can bring us back home. Let’s continue to care for our elders and those in need, just as we would our own family. 🙏

"At times, the risk of getting hurt may be high, but the fulfillment of serving others and doing good far outweighs it."

On the evening of February 23rd, 2025, Paul Mercy Home received an urgent call from journalist Rajesh Mishra Ji, informing us about a mentally challenged woman who had been wandering near the Neel Matha Railway Crossing in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, for several days.

On February 24th, 2025, an early morning rescue operation was launched. The information was shared with Versha Verma from Ek Koshis Aisa Bhi, who confirmed that the woman had been lying on the tracks for an extended period. By God's grace, no train had passed at that moment, and she was swiftly removed from the danger zone. The woman was then safely brought to Paul Mercy Home.

We are deeply grateful for the unwavering support of Versha Verma and Rajesh Ji, whose dedication played a vital role in this successful rescue.

This act of service brings to mind the words of wisdom: 'Whoever shows kindness to the poor, the needy, or the lost, lends to the Lord, and He will reward them for their actions.’

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank all those who support our mission through their prayers and encouragement. Your kindness makes a world of difference every single day.

A Mentally Re****ed lady was found in the vicinity of Dr. SHYAMA PRASAD MUKHERJEE CIVIL HOSPITAL, Hazratganj. There was a stench in the area as she was engulfed in flies. She had not cleansed herself for days, and her head and body was covered with lice and worms. She was given a haircut and a bath and she was taken to the Shelter Home.

A minor child who cannot hear and speak. She is completely mentally re****ed and was r***d when she was just 7 years old (in the year 2014). Anjali on 24 April 2022 at Paul Mercy Home, Brought by Meerut Childline. Her condition was very pathetic and she used to pass stool or urine while eating and drinking. The wound in the abdomen after the operation was continuously leaking. She was taken to Lok Bandhu Hospital from where she was referred to King George's Medical University. With the full cooperation of the organization "Paul Mercy Home" and Ek Koshish Aisi Bhi, the responsibility of treatment was taken up. And without giving up, we took action from making an appointment in the medical college to getting the test done, taking care of the daughter and taking care of all the other needs so that the operation can be done in the hospital. May Anjali get well soon and go back to her everyday life.

After the checkup, she was transferred to the Department of Surgical Gastroenterology at KGMU. Her treatment started with the continuous efforts of the doctors of KGMU. With constant screening, medication and monitoring. After about 1 month of in-hospital care, she was taken for an operation. Anjali's operation in the surgical gastroenterology department of KGMU lasted for 10 hours, and the operation was successful. The doctors of KGMU worked diligently in the treatment of Anjali. After the operation, her condition was very good. Because she had no swelling or post-operative problems.

Now Anjali is recovering and she is responding well. There have been amazing changes in response when it comes to communication. She is beginning to understand the taste of food and after eating she keeps her food plate. Reacting to your loved ones, smiling and expressing her point with her eyes. She has also learned to understand and explain.

At times, waves of laughter can be seen from her. Continuing efforts are paying off. Keep Anjali involved in your prayers.

Today is our daughter Anjali (name changed) operation.
With the blessings and prayers and co-operation of all of you, after almost 1 month of hard work, after all the reports came right, yesterday the daughter has got time for the operation in the medical college.

All of you will remember the r**e victim who was admitted to the medical college for treatment. Six different departments are handling this case i.e. team of doctors from six different departments are handling this case together, it is a very complicated case.

The child cannot hear, cannot speak, and is also mentally re****ed.
But you will not believe that after 1 month of hard work, there have been wonderful changes in response to hearing and communicating.
Started to understand the tastes of Food, and keep her plate after having her food. Reacting to close family e.g. Happy when mom is nearby and a bit annoyed when she is not nearby. Waves of Laughter too.

Continuous efforts are slowly paying off. Keep all of you involved in the prayers so that today the operation on the girl is successful.
