This Independence Day let us seek real freedom by freeing our own mind from cravings and aversions. Hating others is no freedom. Lets work together to enliven the spirit, create a wave of happiness throughout the country and exhibit the true quality of our independence as well as reap its benefits. We will have to fight for a different type of freedom today. Freedom from ignorance and impurities. Its only through spiritual knowledge and right education that ignorance can be eliminated.

Let us work hard and use our creativity to eliminate lack, ignorance and impurity, Then we will truly gain freedom. Its time to awaken from slumber, gather courage, remember the sacrifice of our ancestors and act for a progressive India. An enlightened guru, a ceaseless bachelor and a Vedic scholar , Maharishi Dayanand had exhaled his last breath on the day of Deepwali at the age of 59. The saint had taken up the mission of exterminating superstitions and hypocrisy in the name of religion from all over the world in order to establish the vedic knowledge. The magical glow of that flame disappeared, but before fading away, it lit up millions of other lamps, on the dark moonless night of Amavasya. Maharishi founded a new society based on truth, justice and equality, to be called Arya Samaj. Since Maharshi Dayanand attained Nirvana on the day of deepawali, this festival of light has a special significance in Arya Samaj.

Dussehra, also called Vijayadashami is one of the major indian festivals which is celebrated with ultimate joy and excitement by Hindus across the country and abroad. It signifies the Triumph of good over evil after Ram defeated Ravana.It is celebrated at the end of navratri.The Ravana effigy are set to fire across the country which symbolises the defeat of evil. And different idol of maa durga are immerged in water. Happy dussehra!!
