Why would you spend 11 years to be a doctor?
Asked these young minds !! 😂

Being at a position that you can affect many lives, either by inspiring them to be better in life or inspiring them to do better for the society!

Any how it’s a privilege that you can affect someone’s life by your presence.

Had one such opportunity, l was invited by the school of eminence Model Town Ludhiana as per their guest faculty program.

My job was to inspire the children to be doctors, and answer their questions about medical profession. They had their questions answered before choosing the profession.
I made sure that they know, what they are getting into. Being a doctor is the most rewarding profession agreed!! But also most challenging, selfless , modest and full of emotional turmoil’s.

One has to be strong enough physically as well as mentally to be a doctor. One girl asked me she wants to become a cardiothoracic surgeon, I told her it’s gonna take 11 years of continuous education to be one. She asked me why would anyone do that. I said if your truly have that passion to become one , you would never ask that question yourself in 11 years, you just focus on being one and on the way you keep on changing lives and it all becomes worth it in the end!!

Teach your kids resilience and will to follow the passion, that’s missing in today’s generation as they are all looking for easy money!
