Tulasi Vivah - The Sacred Union of Bhakti and Bhagwan
On Kartika Shukla Dwadashi, the heavens celebrate the divine marriage of Shri Krishna (as Shaligram) and Tulasi Maharani, also revered as Vrinda Devi the goddess of devotion and purity.
According to Padma Purana and Skanda Purana, this day marks the completion of Chaturmas and the revival of Utsava Kala the season of auspicious ceremonies.
It is believed that performing or witnessing Tulasi Vivah brings the fruit of thousands of yajnas and grants the blessings of Lord Vishnu Himself.
Spiritual Significance:
Tulasi is not merely a plant she is the personification of Bhakti (devotion).
Her marriage to Shri Krishna (Shaligram) signifies the eternal bond between the devotee and the Divine.
Where Tulasi resides, the presence of Lord Hari remains unbroken.

•Tithi: Dwadashi ruled by Jupiter (Guru), the planet of dharma and wisdom.
•Month: Kartika governed by Lord Vishnu, when devotional acts yield multiplied merit.
•Worshipping Tulasi on this day strengthens Jupiter and Venus in one’s chart promoting harmony, health, and divine grace.
What To Do Today:
•Decorate Tulasi Devi as a bride and offer flowers, fruits, and lamps.
•Perform or witness the Tulasi–Shaligram Vivah ceremony with devotion.
•Chant “Om Tulasyai Namah” and “Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya.”
•Offer sweets, kheer, and ghee lamp to Tulasi and Shaligram.
•Pray for purity of heart, removal of past karmas, and awakening of bhakti.
Avoid:
•Cutting or plucking Tulasi leaves.
•Tamasic food or arguments maintain peace and purity in thought.
Tulasi Maharani’s mercy purifies where even yajnas cannot.
