I was passionate about donating blood to save lives. I was a founder of "Blood Donors' Club at Government Medical College, Patiala. I remained actively involved in the voluntary blood donation movement as Treasurer, Secretary and later as President of Blood Donation Club, Government Medical College Patiala from 1974 to 1978.

In this pic Dr Ranjit Singh Rana in the US is seen donating blood while Dr Navtej Singh, Dr Manjit Singh, myself and a BTO stand alongside.

We organized many events like seminars, cultural programmes and blood donation camps to propagate voluntary blood donation and collect blood in coloration with blood bank, Rajinder Government Hospital, Patiala.
