Weight loss does not mean losing your lean body weight that includes, bones and muscles, but it should include fat loss.
For e.g.
If two persons have same weight i.e. - 80kg and one of the persons having 20% body fat, another person having 35% body fat, the person with 20% body fat must have 80% lean body weight and is healthier than the person having35% body fat.
