CASE OF GULLIAN BARRE SYNDROME
NAME: ABC
AGE/SEX: 61/Female
OCCUPATION: House wife
DIAGNOSIS: GBS
CHIEF COMPLAINT:
Paralytic weakness in lower limbs.
Trembling in lower limbs.
Not able to stand or walk.
Stiffness in muscles of lower limbs.
Numbness + heaviness below knees
Bilateral swelling in feet
Left leg feels more heavy
Sensation in legs as if they are made of stone.
1st F.up-
Patient came in clinic on wheelchair
Weakness slightly decreased in lower limbs
Her appetite improved
2nd F.up-
Stiffness in muscles of lower limbs decreased
3rd F.up-
Swelling in feet decreased
Stiffness further decreased
4th F.up-
Patient was able to stand with support
Weakness overall decreased
5th F.up-
Patient was able to stand and walk 2-3 steps with the help of support
6th F.up-
Patient was able to walk more than before but with the help of support
Now she was able to go to washroom on her own
Numbness in feet vanished
7th F.up-
Patient took 2-3 steps during her visit in clinic without the help of walker or any support
8th F.up-
Patient came in clinic walking without the help of walker
She is confident than before that she won’t fall
9th F.up-
Her walk became totally normal like before
She has no fear that she will fall
Weakness disappeared
There is no trembling in her lower limbs anymore
