HOW GOOD IS CURD RICE

All the nutritious values of curd rice. Let me give this answer in my point of view. I am a South Indian girl, and Curd rice is a part of my daily food. Why is it considered good for health?
• Easily digestible.(Even infants are given this food.)
• Rich in carbohydrates and proteins.
• It completes a meal. After having some spicy food, one cup of curd rice will balance the effects of those spicy dishes and gives a comforting feel. It cures irritation.
• Whenever someone is sick, they are asked to take curd rice. It gives relief and is the best food especially when someone is suffering from indigestion, fever and stomach pains.
• It gives glow to skin. That is the reason why they add curd to home made facial packs. Trust me. I have tried this and it works.
And if you feel traditional curd rice is boring, garnish them with Green chilli, mustard seeds , curry leaves and ginger , Fried Cashew nut and raisins, Fruits like grapes, pomegranate, Grated raw mango and carrot.
You can have curd rice without any accompaniment but here are some perfect side dishes for curd rice.
• Mor milagai( Sun dried chillies)
• Lemon pickle
• Potato fry
• Vadu manga or Mavadu (Tender mango pickle)
