Thyroglossal cysts are congenital ; meaning they exist from birth. Today operated a case at Sree Narayana Institute of Medical Science-SNIMS along with Dr Nahas Mohamedali of a 67 year old patient with an infected thyroglossal cyst which massively enlarged in the last few months.... A rare presentation at such an advanced age.

An interesting case done a few months back along with Dr. Nahas Mohamedali. It was great to see the patient doing well post operatively when we followed up with a post operative CT Scan. Considering Pterygopalatine Fossa cysts are extremely rare, we had to find an ideal way to tackle the problem. Endoscopic Trans Maxillary Approach was decided and we found it very effective in removing the whole lesion.

Felt great working with Dr Nahas Mohamedali and DrRagesh Chandran in Palakkad district. A tricky case considering the osteoporotic bone but when you are in great company, no problem is insurmountable. And seeing a happy patient is the biggest reward you can get in these difficult times.
