π Summer Camp Day 2β Todayβs Activities & Their Purpose
Dear Parents,
Todayβs session focused on helping children build attention, self-awareness, confidence, and future thinking through fun, structured activities. Hereβs what we did and why it matters:
π¨ 1. Drawing for Attention
Children engaged in guided drawing tasks that required them to focus on details, follow instructions, and complete a picture.
Why this is important:
Improves attention span and concentration
Enhances listening and following instructions
Builds patience and task completion skills
π³ 2. Skills Tree Activity
Each child created a βSkills Tree,β where they wrote or drew their strengths (e.g., helping others, drawing, sharing, etc.) inside the tree.
Why this is important:
Builds self-esteem and confidence
Helps children recognize their own abilities
Encourages positive self-identity
π 3. Future Self Drawing
Children drew themselves in the future (e.g., as a teacher, doctor, police officer, etc.) and shared their ideas.
Why this is important:
Encourages goal setting and imagination
Develops a sense of purpose and motivation
Helps children express their dreams and aspirations
π§ 4. Brain Gym Activities
We practiced simple movement-based exercises designed to improve coordination and brain functioning.
Why this is important:
Enhances focus and memory
Improves body coordination
Helps children feel more calm and regulated.
π‘ How You Can Support at Home
Encourage your child to talk about their drawing or βfuture selfβ
Appreciate their efforts, not just the outcome
Provide short, fun activities that require focus (coloring, puzzles)
Reinforce their strengths (e.g., βYou are very helpful!β)
Thank you for your support in your childβs growth and learning! π±
