38yrs old male with NCPF with portal hypertension,massive splenomegaly with pancytopenia and large gastric funda varices.
Endoscopic therapy was not amenable because of large varices.
Did splenectomy+Esophago gastric devascularisation(ligation of varices).
Post surgery his Hb improved from 3 to 11
WBC from 1400 to 14,000
Platelets from 20,000 to 1,33,000
Patient is recovering well.
