Traditional snack VS packaged snack
What do you prefer for your children?
Homemade, fresh snack wherein you know the ingredients that go in to make it, runs as a traditional dish which your grandmothers and mother made with love ... ( eventhough deep fried ) OR some packaged snack loaded with all sorts of preservatives and some bizzarre ingredients that comes in fancy packets made and sold for the sole purpose of profit?
While 1 homemade 'Chakli ' gives you around 78KCal and 4 gm of fats, 98mg of sodium and 1 pack of kurkure gives you around 279KCal and 18 gms of fat and a whooping 440mg of sodium .
And we all know how excess of sodium is bad for our heart and kidneys. And these processed and packaged foods are one of the leading causes for OBESITY and ADHD among children.
Well ,I am not telling that all the homemade fried snacks are good for your health, but atleast it is better than the other when had in moderation once a while. Afterall, we are humans right... and children are children.
Its in our hands what we hand over to the children..... tradition and health or fancy packaged diseases....
