On dated 21/04/2024 as an initiative to spread awareness about road safety, a workshop was organized for the Police officials and their children in Battalion complex. ACO Amar Singh
explained in detail about the Road Accident Scenario in India and Himachal Pradesh and road safety measures being taken by the State by involving all stakeholder departments, students of school, college and educational institutions, general public and all road users in the State to reduce the gravity of road traffic accidents and resultant fatalities and injuries. Since ACO Amar Singh remained posted in Road Safety Cell from January 2020 to June 2023 as first officer from Police Department, he shared his experience regarding road safety and importance of law and, awareness and other required interventions to make the road users/ general public abide by road safety laws/ rules to make our country as well as our State safer for all road users thus thereby saving precious human lives. He also explained about the implementation of Good Samaritan Law and right and protection provided to the Good Samaritan who extend their timely help to to provide immediate medical assistance during Golden Hour to save precious lives of accident victims. He also apprised about the Good Samaritan Award Scheme launched in order to motivate more and more people to come forward for the timely help of road traffic accident victims without any fear and hesitation.
