In his recent address, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji rightly drew the nation’s attention to the silent global threat of Antimicrobial Resistance.

AIIMS Mangalagiri is fully aligned with the Government of India’s National Action Plan on AMR 2.0 and is working towards establishing a state-of-the-art genomic sequencing laboratory to develop an India-specific AMR database for Andhra Pradesh, said Prof. (Dr.) Ahanthem Santa Singh, Executive Director & CEO, AIIMS Mangalagiri.

He urged citizens to play their part—never self-medicate, never share and always complete the prescribed course of antibiotics.

Dept. of General Medicine hosted a CME on HIV at on 7th Dec, 2025.

CME was Organized as a capacity building program for World AIDS Day, this academic feast covered prevention, diagnosis, and management, including long-term complications and co-infections. Two dedicated workshops tackled real world clinical problems & their practical solutions. Over 200 faculty, interns, students, residents attended this program. A quiz and e-poster competition was conducted. Congrats to the winners!

was observed at on 1st December by the Dept. of Dermatology in collaboration with CFM. Faculty & residents conducted HIV/AIDS awareness sessions across all OPD waiting areas, reaching patients and caregivers throughout the hospital.

As part of outreach, a skin camp was organised at National Vocational Junior College, Mangalagiri, benefiting nearly 50 students. Dr. T. Haritha and her team along with CFM interns conducted sessions on /AIDS, skin care & common dermatological issues, followed by an interactive quiz.
