Your habits have a direct reflection on your skin, and you’re lifestyle might be the single reason for your skin to break out.

Some common Causes for Breakouts are:

✨Stress: When we stress, our bodies produce oil in our pores that get clogged and leads to breakouts.

✨Diet: High Glyclemic foods makes acne worse. A healthy diet helps to keep your body free from toxins that cause you to break out.

✨Smoking: It alters the composition and production of sebum, in turn leading to acne.

✨ Sleep: Insufficient sleep can lead to stress, and stress increases the production of skin oils which causes breakouts. Sleep is also when your body restores itself and when all kinds of cells regenerate.

✨Dehydration: When our skin is dehydrated, it can increase the production of oil — and too much oil can trigger a breakout of acne.

Breakouts may seem like a fact of life, but there are remedies you can try to prevent and treat them. Consider your diet, sleep, and stress levels. Eating more whole foods and less processed ones, getting 7 to 9 hours of sleep every night, and finding ways to manage stress may all help reduce breakouts.

Visit a dermatologist if the breakouts happen to often. Do consult them before taking any medication or doing any procedures.

If your skin feels dry, flaky, and more sensitive than usual, there's a chance that it may be dehydrated.

Fine lines and wrinkles are most commonly caused by aging. As we age, the collagen and elastin in our skin break down. As these proteins begin to break down, skin loses elasticity and becomes unable to bounce back into place, ultimately causing wrinkles to appear.

Unlike wrinkles, dehydration lines are not caused by aging but by dehydration itself. Dehydrated skin is a skin condition often caused by external elements like the weather and seasonal changes. It can also be largely associated with your diet and lifestyle choices.

Signs of Dehydrated Skin

❄️Skin gets itchy - Elements like wind, high temperatures, and sun exposure can deplete your skin’s protective barrier of moisture and leave it feeling dry and itchy.

❄️Skin feels dull - Proper skin hydration plays a prominent role in essential functions like cell turnover. Your skin cells won't turn over as quickly, and dead cells may accumulate on the surface of your skin which clog up pores, and leave your skin looking dull and lifeless.

❄️Increased sensitivity on your skin - When the moisture barrier depletes, it loses the ability to protect itself from external factors like pollution, wind, and bacteria. Coming in contact with everyday stressors can leave it feeling red, itchy, and sensitive.

Dehydration is treatable with major lifestyle changes. Replenishing your hydration is the first major step, so it’s important to drink plenty of water. Look for products containing hydrating ingredients like squalane and hyaluronic acid. You also want to consume foods with high water content. 🍉

Dehydrated skin can be complex, but it’s treatable once you diagnose it correctly. Visit your dermatologist today, if you feel any of the above symptoms.💧

Hope this helps.💚

When it comes to shaving, we know that there’s a load of information out there. And whether it’s from fellow mates or disaster stories passed on from older sisters, there are probably a few things you believe to be true. Things like how shaving makes your hair grow back darker, or your hair gets thicker if you shave.

No — shaving hair doesn't change its thickness, color or rate of growth.

Here’s what actually happens…

One of the most widely believed myths of shaving is that it affects how your hair grows back. We often think that hair follicles grow back thicker but that is not true! Our hair is normally thick at the bottom and tends to taper at the ends as it grows.

Shaving facial or body hair gives the hair a blunt tip. The tip might feel coarse or "stubble" for a time as it grows out. During this phase, the hair might be more noticeable and perhaps appear darker or thicker.

To get rid of unwanted hair permanently there’s the option of laser hair removal, which can also be more precise and offer longer-lasting results than other methods.

Skin change in tone and texture can occur due to various factors like sun exposure, excessive use of chemical makeup, free radical damage, pollution, hormonal changes, and sometimes genetics.

Laser toning is a safe, effective, and advanced cosmetic treatment that helps to treat various skin conditions. It uses the energy of a low fluence laser beam that is targeted for a few microseconds on to the skin to treat pigmentation and other skin aging problems. This procedure uses a beam of a laser of a specific wavelength that can treat pigmentation present deep inside the skin.

This procedure is very popular for treating hyperpigmentation, melasma, chickenpox scars, acne scars, dark spots, sunspots, fine lines, and wrinkles and provides an improved skin color/tone and texture.

The collagen production promotes skin remodeling and improves the appearance of fine lines and open pores in the skin. During toning mode, these broken tiny particles of excess melanin are absorbed by the bloodstream and removed from the body.

Topical hyaluronic acid-infused serums and moisturizers deeply hydrate to create volume, plumpness, and firmness, but Hyaluronic Acid fillers are a way to kick things up and achieve instant results.

Hyaluronic acid fillers are a type of temporary dermal fillers designed to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Unlike other anti-aging injections, Hyaluronic Acid—which is actually a sugar—naturally exists in the skin and is a key component in the skin's ability to retain water for a plump, hydrated complexion.

What are the Benefits of Hyaluronic Acid Fillers?
💧It stimulates collagen production which helps to combat volume loss and fine lines earlier on in the aging process

💧Adds volume to the areas affected by signs of aging.
It also helps to smooth out the texture of the skin.

💧Decreases the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

💧As Hyaluronic Acid exists naturally in the body, it is a safer option

💧The outcome of this treatment is temporary and therefore lasts for about 6 to 18 months.

These treatments are only done by a dermatologist or a trained expert. Before you consider any products or procedures, it is advised to consult with them first.

This is a minimally invasive procedure and is fairly painless. It is the best way to get rid of those lines, wrinkles and sagging skin in the most natural way.

If you are considering this treatment and have questions or need more info, you can always drop by at or DM to book an appointment.

The Co2 Fractional Laser is a carbon dioxide laser which precisely removes deep outer layers of damaged skin and stimulates the regeneration of healthy skin underneath. The Co2 treats fine to moderately deep wrinkles, sun damage, acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, and texture.

Laser resurfacing is a process wherein energy generated at a specified wavelength is used to ablate the most superficial layers of the skin using the Co2 Fractional laser. This is a non-invasive treatment that uses a device to deliver a laser beam divided into thousands of microscopic beams that target a particular area of the skin.

Laser skin resurfacing targets the outer layer of your skin while simultaneously heating the lower layers in the dermis. This will promote collagen production. Ideally, new collagen fibers will help produce new skin that is smoother in texture and firmer to the touch.

Healing usually takes between 3 and 10 days. As a general rule, the bigger the treatment area and the deeper the laser, the longer the recovery time. Recovery from ablative laser treatment usually takes up to three weeks.

During recovery, your skin will turn a little reddish , and scab over. Your dermatologist will tell u precisely how to manoeuver through with the use of appropriate creams.

Always consult a dermatologist before you try any new procedures. They will determine what is best for you after an evaluation. These procedures are only done by trained experts.

If you are considering this treatment and need more info, you can always drop by at or DM to book an appointment.

Polycystic o***y syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most common reasons for women to seek removal of facial hair.

This syndrome causes multiple small cysts around the edges of the ovaries to develop. PCOS also creates an excess of androgen, a male hormone that causes unwanted hair growth on the face, back, chest, lower legs, and abdomen. Those with PCOS may encounter thicker, darker, or excessive body hair due to the extra hormones in their bodies.

Hence we suggest getting a Hormonal Evaluation done before considering Laser Hair Removal.

Women with PCOS are not without options when it comes to unwanted body hair. In fact, laser hair removal is the ideal treatment for women faced with PCOS. The treatment can aid in removing or reducing unwanted body hair. This solution can eliminate the constant need for shaving, waxing, or plucking.

To maintain a reduction in hair growth, regular maintenance treatments may be required every 12-15 weeks, indefinitely.

Visit your dermatologist or highly trained expert for such procedures. They will help you determine which laser hair removal is the best option for your goals/budget.

Hope this helps!💚

We’ve been discussing all things intimate care this month and a big question we’ve received has been regarding Vaginal Boils.

Think about it this way, anything that produces a pus filled boil is usually caused by bacteria. The same is true in the intimate region.

The p***c region is usually affected by the bacteria Staphylococcus aureus, also known as Staph.

These boils are very painful and can grow as big as golf balls before rupturing. These should go away on their own but if it feels to painful or doesn’t go away in a couple of weeks, visit your dermatologist or ob/gyn immediately.

⚠️ Do not attempt to pop the boil at home! ⚠️

Drop by or DM to book an appointment.
