Not all heroes wear capes, some just know how to make healthy choices! 🦸‍♀️✨

On February 14th, G. Shankar Family Trust (R.) and Sanjeevini Cancer Seva Trust (R.) in association with Mangalore Institute of Oncology (M.I.O) took our 'Healthy Hero' initiative on the road, reaching the bright young minds at Sri Vidyavilasa Aided School (Polali) and the Aided Higher Primary School (Ammunje).

We believe that true health education shouldn't be boring; it should be empowering!

We are humbled by the warm welcome from the Hebri community. As this local leader points out, Hebri is a hub of hard-working people—from cashew factories to rice mills. For too long, families had to travel all the way to Manipal just for basic guidance. Not anymore.

With the new Sanjeevini Cancer Information Centre right here in Hebri, we are bringing awareness to your doorstep.

"I have seen the pain of cancer in my own family. Now, I want to see hope in my town."

Mr. Venkataramana Bhakta has run his shop in Hebri for over two decades. He knows this community inside out. Recently, he noticed a worrying trend—nearly 25 to 30 cancer cases in the surrounding areas, including tragedy in his own family.

Instead of staying silent, he took action. When the Sanjeevini Cancer Seva Trust and Mangalore Institute of Oncology (MIO) approached him, he didn't just welcome them; he helped establish the new Cancer Information Centre right next to him.
