A big moment for us at Srinivas Port Hospital as we marked the inauguration of our new multi-speciality facility at the port. The event brought together key leaders who have helped shape this project from day one. Dr A V Ramana, Chairperson of NMPA, joined us along with Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, Chancellor of Srinivas University, and Dr A Srinivas Rao, Pro-Chancellor.

We were also glad to have Dr H R Thimmaiah, District Health Officer, Vinayak Rao B S, Financial Advisor and Chief Accounts Officer of NMPA, Dr Anil Kumar, Registrar Administration, Dr David Rosario, Medical Superintendent, and Dr Ajay Kumar, Development Registrar of Srinivas University. Their presence made the day feel special and grounded in a shared purpose.

The NMPA Golden Jubilee 10K Run was officially launched yesterday, marking the beginning of a landmark fitness initiative to commemorate 50 glorious years of NMPA’s service to the nation.

The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Dr. A.V. Ramanna, Chairman, NMPA; Dr. A. Srinivasa Rao, Pro-Chancellor, Srinivas University; Mundkur Shyamprasad Kamath, Managing Director, MRPL; Smt. S. Shanthi, Deputy Chairperson, NMPA; Rev. Dr. Praveen Martis, S.J., Vice-Chancellor, St. Aloysius University; Mr. Ganesha N. Sharma, Executive Director, BNI Mangalore; Shri Padmanabhachar K., IOFS, CVO-NMPA; and Satish Gujaran, Indian ultramarathon runner.

Senior officers of the Port and members of the fitness and running communities of Mangalore also participated in the event. The occasion brought together the spirit of legacy and the energy of wellness on one powerful platform.

We’re excited to announce a landmark partnership between Srinivas Institute of Medical Sciences and New Mangalore Port Authority.

On June 7, 2024, we signed the Concession Agreement to take over operations of the existing 32-bed hospital at the port and build a state-of-the-art 150-bed multi-speciality hospital on port land.

This Public-Private Partnership is more than a project—it’s a commitment to quality healthcare for port workers, their families, and the surrounding community.
