After facing the heartbreak of two mid-term pregnancy losses, this brave mother walked into Cloudnine Hospital, Panchkula, filled with both fear and hope.
Under the expert care of Dr Shilva, a cervical encirclage was performed early in her pregnancy to support her cervix and prevent another loss. With careful monitoring, rest, and faith, she carried her pregnancy safely to term — and recently delivered a healthy baby through normal delivery! 👶💖

It had been a challenging journey. Mrs Kaur, a 34-year-old first-time mother, had a history of recurrent miscarriages. Her antenatal period had been fraught with many complications including gestational diabetes. Despite these challenges, she had placed her faith in Dr. Shilva, a senior obstetrician at Cloudnine Hospital in Panchkula, known for her expertise in high-risk pregnancies.

From the start, we meticulously approached Mrs. Kaur’s care. She was prescribed the required necessary medicines and a carefully monitored diet plan to manage gestational diabetes. Regular ultrasound scans were conducted to ensure fetal growth and well-being. When Mrs Kaur developed mild hypertension in the third trimester, the medical team adjusted her treatment plan and recommended more frequent check-ups.

On the day of delivery, Mrs Kaur was admitted to the hospital at 39 weeks, following an elective induction of labour due to her complex medical history. As the labour progressed, there were moments of concern—a transient drop in the baby’s heart rate prompted quick action. After hours of monitored labour, Mrs Kaur delivered a healthy baby boy via normal delivery. The newborn's cry echoed in the room.

Holding her son for the first time, Mrs. Kaur whispered, “Thank you, Mam. You gave me hope when I had none.” Dr. Shilva smiled warmly, her eyes reflecting both relief and pride. “You were brave, Mrs. Kaur. This little miracle is as much your victory as it is ours.”
