Your first yoga class won’t feel perfect — and that’s the point. 🧘‍♀️

You might feel confused.
You might wobble.
Your muscles might complain.
Your brain might freeze mid-pose.

And yes… your body may make unexpected sounds.

That doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong.
It means you’re doing it for the first time.

Yoga isn’t about flexibility or balance on day one.
It’s about showing up, breathing, and listening to your body — exactly as it is.

Every expert yogi was once a beginner lying in Shavasana thinking,
“Wow… I needed this.”

If you knew me 10 years ago, you’d never imagine I’d end up here…

I wasn’t confused because I lacked options.
I was confused because none of them felt true.

I was educated, privileged, wild and completely lost.

Consistency over perfection.

You don’t need a perfect body.
Just a mat, a breath, and 30 minutes for yourself.

Show up daily.
Balance will follow.

Most fitness plans fail not because you’re lazy —
but because they’re built on force, not balance.

True fitness is something you can return to
even on tired days.
That’s where yoga stands apart.

What helped you stay consistent — or what didn’t?

When our students were asked,
“Do you think everyone should practice yoga?”

Different voices. One powerful answer.
Yes — yoga is for everyone.

Yoga is not about flexibility.
It’s about balance — inside and out.

What’s your answer?

Some days my handstand feels steady.
Some days I don’t even trust  the kick ups and question everything.

I’m doing all the things — breath, strength, drills, endurance, patience —
and still, some days my body just doesn’t cooperate.

And I’m learning this the hard way:
I don’t move well under pressure.
I thought I did — exams trained me to believe that.
But movement exposes the truth.

When I push too hard, my balance disappears.
When my mind is tired from teaching, commuting, life — my body feels it first.

Handstands have shown me where I over-effort.
Where I’m kind.
Where I’m not.

Some days I let it flow.
Some days I judge myself for not being “better by now.”

But I still show up — not because I have to,
but because I love this.
Because movement excites me.
Because yoga keeps pulling me back to myself.

This practice isn’t about getting upside down.
It’s about seeing myself clearly — even on the days I fall.

Yoga is not a destination.
It’s the courage to keep returning.

2025 really said this :
“Let’s test your flexibility… mentally.”

My dharma expanded.
Life offered more support and stability.
Strength training introduced muscles I didn’t consent to.
Asana and Pranayama practice deepened.
Mental limits? Found. Clearly. Loudly.

2025 tested my focus, patience, and nervous system.
Big learning:
I don’t thrive under constant pressure.
And that’s not a weakness—
it’s just self-awareness arriving on time.

I showed up anyway.
Early mornings. Full days.
Strong body. Busy mind.
Learning when to push… and when to pause.

Also…
Not everyone is meant to stay in your life.
Some people walk with you.
Some teach you.
Some do both—and leave.
Letting go is also a practice.

Very humbling lesson here -
While I was teaching balance…
I wasn’t always living it

2025 was about growth, expansion, holding a lot.
But some relationships didn’t get my full presence.
And yoga—being extremely rude—will always point that out.

So 2026 is not about more.
It’s about less… but better.

Less rushing.
Less spiritual multitasking.
Less “I’ll rest after this one thing.”

More practice.
More time studying yogic philosophy instead of constantly teaching it.
More time with people who feel like an exhale.

And gratitude—
for every lesson, every person, every moment that shaped me.
Even the uncomfortable ones. Especially those.

If 2025 was a pressure test…
2026 is a steady breath.

2025 wasn’t about pushing every class to its edge.
Some days we flowed.
Some days we paused.
Some days the practice looked messy — and that was still practice.

To everyone who came in tired, stiff, distracted, unsure —
thank you for trusting me with your breath and your time.
Teaching you also taught me
when to guide, when to step back,
and when to simply let the room breathe.

This reel is a quiet thank you
to all the classes that happened as they were meant to.

2026 —
chilling a little more.
learning a little more.
relaxing into the practice.

See you on the mat.

Yoga isn’t about reaching a destination.
It’s about gently returning to yourself—
one breath, one moment, one practice at a time.
At Deep Breathe Yoga Studio, the journey is the practice.

January doesn’t need pressure or perfection.
Sometimes, it simply asks you to pause, breathe, and begin again.
Yoga is not about doing more—it’s about feeling better.
