your nervous system calms down. The second step is to expose gradually. You are feeling scared, OCD is stopping you, but you still have to expose gradually. Because there is only one way to finish fear, to face it. Without safety behaviors, without anyone's support, do gradual exposures. Because avoidance is

Let uncertainty exist. Uncertainty is there and will always be there. But your brain wants 100% certainty. Which is an impossible target. It will never be achieved. So accept uncertainty, embrace it and tell your brain, maybe yes, maybe no. It can happen, it can not happen. Let me see. And when you will keep taking your actions in the presence of uncertainty,
your brain will be rewired with new experiences and you will be free from your OCD loop.
