🌺HAND FOOT MOUTH DISEASE🌺

Common viral illness under 5 years kids.
Very infectious condition which is spread by direct contact with saliva or mucus .

🌺SYMPTOMS

➡️Sore throat, mouth pain
➡️Irritability, kids become cranky
➡️loss of appetite
➡️low-grade fever, generalized weakness
➡️Rashes, Vesicles over the hand, feet, legs and ge****ls, buttocks.

The virus usually clears up on its own within 7-10 days.

🌺TREATMENT
1. Paracetamol syrup for fever and pain relief.
2. Calamine lotion, soothing creams for rash.

🌺PRECAUTIONS

👉🏻Adequate rest to kid.
👉🏻Hydration ,give plenty of fluids, but avoid orange juice, which is acidic and may cause pain with mouth ulcers
👉🏻Rash resolve within 1-2 weeks.
👉🏻Keep children home from school until their fever and pain resolve.
👉🏻Bathing the child regularly can prevent further secondary infections.
👉🏻Wash your kids' hands often, clean and disinfect surfaces, and avoid close contact with others.
