One of the most common questions we receive is whether ICSI is a "must" for everyone undergoing IVF. The simple answer is no. While ICSI (Intracytoplasmic S***m Injection) is a revolutionary technology, it is a specialized tool used to solve specific challenges.

At Indira IVF, we decide between conventional IVF and ICSI based on your unique medical reports.
When is ICSI the right choice? Our doctors usually recommend ICSI if there is a concern with male fertility such as a low s***m count, poor s***m movement, or unusually shaped s***m. It is also the preferred method if you have had a previous IVF cycle where eggs failed to fertilize naturally, or if you are using frozen eggs or surgically retrieved s***m.
When is Conventional IVF enough? If the s***m parameters are healthy and there are no known barriers to fertilization, conventional IVF is often just as effective. In these cases, we allow the s***m to fertilize the egg naturally in a controlled environment.
