As an orthopaedic surgeon, I know that traveling long distances for a consultation can be a major hurdle for many patients. That is why I am committed to bringing my expertise directly to the coastal regions.

I am happy to share that I visit Guhagar and Tali once every month for specialized consultations! 🏥👣

Who should come see me?

• If you have persistent heel or arch pain.
• If you are dealing with a non-healing foot injury or complex fracture.
• If you have diabetic foot concerns or deformities like bunions.
• If you simply want a second opinion on a long-standing foot or ankle issue.

Providing quality care to these communities is something I truly look forward to. It’s about ensuring that distance never stands in the way of your mobility.

🗓️ Want to know the dates for my next visit or book a slot? Please drop a DM right here, and my team will share all the details regarding the location and timing.

Let’s get you back on your feet, Guhagar and Tali! 🌊💪

Today, as we celebrate India’s 77th Republic Day, I am reminded that the greatest “Republic” we live in is our own body.

True independence is the ability to move without pain, to walk with confidence, and to lead an active life. As a surgeon, my “pledge” every day is to help you regain that freedom—whether it’s through a complex reconstruction or simply guiding you toward better bone health. 👣💪

People often ask me, "Of all the specialties in orthopaedics, why focus on the Foot and Ankle?"

The answer is simple: Mobility is independence.

Think about it—your feet are your foundation. They are the first thing that touches the ground when you wake up and the last thing to rest when you sleep. Whether it’s a farmer in Miraj walking his fields, an athlete training for a marathon, or a grandmother wanting to play with her grandkids—every step matters.

As a Foot and Ankle Specialist, I see how a tiny misalignment, a chronic pain, or a complex fracture can shrink a person's world. My mission is to expand that world again.

What drives me every day?
âś… The precision required to reconstruct complex deformities.
âś… The challenge of treating sports injuries to get athletes back on track.
âś… The joy of seeing a patient walk pain-free after months of struggle.

Being a part of the Dr. G. S. Kulkarni Hospital legacy means I have the best technology at my fingertips, but it’s the human connection—the "Thank you, Doctor, I can walk again"—that makes my work truly rewarding.

Your feet carry you through life. I’m here to make sure they do it without pain. 🏥💪

“But exercise leads to injury.” 🛑

I hear this more often than you’d think. It’s the #1 reason people give for staying on the couch or avoiding the weight room. But as an orthopaedic surgeon, I’m here to tell you that medical science says the exact opposite.

The Reality? Inactivity is the real risk factor. 📉

Research consistently shows that a sedentary lifestyle is far more "dangerous" for your joints and bones than a structured exercise program. Here is what the latest medical evidence (including a massive meta-analysis in the British Journal of Sports Medicine) actually reveals:

âś… Injury Prevention: Strength training alone can reduce sports-related injuries to less than 1/3 and cut overuse injuries by nearly 50%.

âś… Bone Density: Bones are living tissue. Mechanical stress from weight-bearing exercise triggers "osteoblasts" to build more bone, making you resistant to fractures as you age.

âś… Joint Lubrication: Movement is medicine for your cartilage. Exercise increases the flow of synovial fluid, which "feeds" your joints the nutrients they need to stay smooth and pain-free.

âś… The 2026 Data: Recent studies (Jan 2026) show that even just 20 minutes of multicomponent training (strength + balance) reduces total injury risk by 35%.
