🔍 Case Study: A Comprehensive Approach to Complex Symptoms
Last month, a 35-year-old female patient visited my clinic with persistent symptoms of vertigo, high-grade fever with chills, palpitations, tachycardia, tachypnea, and 2-3 episodes of unconsciousness. She had been under treatment at a well-known hospital in town but wasn’t seeing results.
🩺 Patient History: I took a detailed medical history and reviewed her past investigations, which included:
Prior Investigations (from the previous hospital): Blood tests, basic urinalysis, which showed no significant findings.
However, after listening carefully and performing a thorough assessment, I decided to conduct additional tests:
My Investigations: CBC, serum iron, ferritin levels, urine culture, pelvic ultrasound, cervical biopsy for PAP smear, thyroid function tests, and cervical swabs.
Results: The investigations revealed Iron Deficiency Anemia, Cervicitis, Urinary Tract Infection (UTI), Leucorrhoea, Cervical Spondylitis, Hypothyroidism, and associated symptoms like tachycardia and tachypnea.
💊 Treatment Plan: Over the course of one month, I treated her with:
Antibiotics for the UTI and cervicitis
Antifungals and ayurvedic medicines for leucorrhoea
Hormone therapy and supportive treatments for her overall health, including supplements to address iron deficiency anemia
Eltroxin to manage hypothyroidism.
After one month of treatment, her symptoms—including palpitations, tachycardia, and tachypnea—reverted to normal, and she is on her way to a full recovery!
