વિશ્વ તમાકુ વિરોધી દિવસ દર વર્ષે 31મી મે ના રોજ સમગ્ર વિશ્વમાં ઉજવવામાં આવે છે. આ દિવસનો હેતુ લોકોને તમાકુ કે માદક દ્રવ્યો પ્રત્યે જાગૃત કરવાનો છે. નશામાં માત્ર તમાકુ જ નહીં પણ (બીડી, સિગારેટ, ગુટખા વગેરે) નો પણ સમાવેશ થાય છે. જે કેન્સર જેવી જીવલેણ બીમારીઓનું કારણ બની શકે છે.
