A patient visited my clinic with sudden onset quadriplegia and dyspnoea preceded with history of fever and diarrhoea. On examination patient was conscious with power 0/5 in all four limbs and preservation of sensation. We started treatment with mechanical ventilation and IVIG after CSF examination showing albumino cytological dissociation considering
“Guillain Barre syndrome “. Patient improved and weaned off ventilator in next 72 hrs. After two weeks of extensive physiotherapy today patient came walking with almost complete recovery.
Thanking all staffs of R Y Hospital and Dr Rakesh for his commendable efforts.
