On the occasion of World diabetes day , Fortis hospital Mulund and IAPEN Nutrition and Diabetes core group conducted Diabetes awareness program on 25th November 2023.
People with diabetes ( type 1 & type 2) actively participated activities and games like nutritional snake & ladder and quizzes. Healthy plate concept was explained by Ms Zankhana Shetty and were appreciated by all.
After this session, participants had to design their own plates in same manner. Motivational speech was given by Dr Sweta Budyal ( Endocrinologist) and Dr Manisha Phatak. Lastly session ended with delicious sugar free, wheat based, nutty cake cutting ceremony.
