As a child development professional, I have the privilege of working with incredible kids of all ages from around the world. Each one is unique, with their own challenges, and through those challenges, I learn valuable lessons every day. They teach me resilience, joy, and how to stay cheerful. One of the best parts of working with kids is how they help me keep the child in me alive through their creativity and interactions. I'm deeply grateful for the joy and curiosity they inspire.

Happy Children's Day to all the kiddos, big and small 💜💜

Is Crushing Your Child’s ?

As parents, we can’t protect our kids from all criticism, but we can teach them how to handle it with self-compassion. Without this, criticism can lead to feelings of shame and chip away at their self-esteem, potentially leaving lasting effects.

By teaching them to pause and ask, “What can I learn from this?” Is this feedback helpful, or is it just noise?” instead of letting harsh words define them, we help them build resilience. Self-compassion doesn’t happen instantly—it requires practice.

As parents, you are your child’s greatest role model. By demonstrating kindness toward yourself in difficult moments, you teach them how to do the same. If we don’t instill this habit early, they may grow up internalizing every hurtful word, which can lead to crushing their confidence.

The Power of Empathy in Leadership (Based on True Story)

Yesterday, I had a concerning conversation with a client about a situation at her company. As Mumbai faced heavy storms, disrupting daily life including railways, the response from company leaders was lacking in empathy.

Instead of showing concern for their employees navigating through the chaos, leaders dismissed the situation as a "fun day of trekking," leaving staff feeling disregarded and angry.

This incident highlights a crucial aspect of leadership: EMPATHY.

True leadership isn't just about making decisions; it's about understanding and caring for those you lead. In times of adversity, it's essential for leaders to show compassion and support. Employees need to feel valued and heard, especially during challenging times.

Let's remember that leadership isn't just about directing; it's about connecting with people on a human level.
