BREAKFAST CAKE – CAKE for BREAKFAST?!? Yes! It’s a healthy BREAKFAST tip and so delicious - with blackberries and blueberries! It’s VEGAN, gluten free, soy free and it will make you excited to start your day. ⁠

Preparation time is 10 min plus 30 min in the oven⁠

Ingredients⁠
1 tbsp cornstarch⁠
3 tbsp water⁠
100 gr almonds⁠
150 gr blackberries⁠
150 gr blueberries⁠
200 gr chickpeas (drained from a can or freshly cooked)⁠
200 gr buckwheat flour⁠
40 gr coconut blossom sugar⁠
200 ml almond milk⁠
1 tbsp baking powder⁠
1 tbsp cinnamon⁠
2 tsp vanilla extract⁠
2 tsp cardamon⁠
½ tsp sea salt⁠

Topping ⁠
3 tbsp slivered almonds⁠

Tools⁠
Springform (20cm)⁠
Baking paper⁠
Food processor⁠

1- preheat the oven on 200 Celsius degrees and line the springform with baking paper⁠
2- put the corn starch with the water in a small bowl and mix well⁠
3- grind the almonds in the food processor (coarsely)⁠
4- put the almonds with the other ingredients for the cake (except for the mixed corn flour with water) in a bowl and mix well⁠
5- add the mixed corn flour with water and again mix well⁠
6- scoop batter into the springform and bake the cake for 30 minutes; 5 min before the end of baking time, sprinkle with almond shaving and leave the cake in the oven for another 5 min⁠

AGEING GRACEFULLY AND HEALTH – People worldwide are living longer. The pace of population AGEING is much faster than in the past. Today most people can expect to live into their sixties and beyond. ⁠

Many factors influence HEALTHY AGING. Some of these, such as genetics, are not in our control. Others – like exercise, a HEALTHY diet, refraining from to***co use, going to the doctor regularly and taking care of your mental HEALTH – are within our reach. ⁠

Some AGING changes begin in early life.⁠ The idea of AGING WITH GRACE is different for everyone – a few qualities are presence, elegance, refinement and ease. To achieve a state of GRACE is to achieve a HEALTHY, well-balanced life full of joy and respect. ⁠

AGEING gracefully is a learning process – a powerful and mindful path through self-acceptance, patience and willingness to better understand who you are and what you want from life. Distractions are everywhere and they get in the way of achieving a well-balanced life. The key to a fulfilling life is to avoid being stuck in quicksand and to build a fully independent, self-sufficient life from the inside out.⁠

There are no limits on your life’s journey, unless you insist on living in the past. Be mindful of the present and the gifts, talents and skills you possess and change your story with GRACE. ⁠

AGE is an attitude and not chronology! ⁠

GO WITH THE FLOW – no matter how much structure we create in our lives, no matter how many good habits we build, there will always be things we cannot control – and if we let them, these things can be a huge source of anger, frustration and stress.⁠

The simple solution – learn to GO WITH THE FLOW. What is GOING WITH THE FLOW? It’s rolling with the punches. It’s accepting change without getting angry or frustrated. It is taking what life gives you, rather than trying to mold life to be exactly as you want it to be.⁠
⁠⁠
It’s a given whilst we cannot control the circumstances of life, we can control how we respond to what happen to us. This is a measure of our commitment to accept life as it is and let go of what we cannot control. ⁠

Herewith some of the things that work for me to GO WITH THE FLOW:⁠
* realise that you can’t control everything⁠
* put it in perspective – take a step back⁠
* accept change and imperfection⁠
* realise that you can’t control others⁠
* become aware of your anger and frustration – so you can become an observer of your thoughts⁠
* breath – to calm down yourself⁠
* laugh -see things as funny rather than frustrating⁠
* keep a journal – a (daily) review on paper so you can learn from the process⁠
* enjoy life as a flow of change, chaos and beauty⁠

MEDITATION II – you learn to MEDITATE by MEDITATING. The silence and stillness you experience in MEDITATION and the increased happiness and diminished stress you experience outside MEDITATION are so attractive and welcomed that you naturally teach yourself how to go deeper into that silence and stillness each time you MEDITATE.⁠

MEDITATION can make you happier and can make you feel more at ease and calmer. So, what are you waiting for? Start today!⁠

To begin MEDITATING – find a place where you can sit comfortably and quietly. Then close your eyes and do nothing for a minute. During the MEDITATION relax your body. Thoughts may come and go – just observe your thoughts and don’t attach to it. Choose a target for your focus. Focusing on your breath is a good choice since it’s usually the entry point to any MEDITATION practice. When thoughts come gently return to your breath. ⁠
When you finish MEDITATING, lay down and rest for 4-5 minutes. ⁠

HOLISTIC LIVING – is being embraced more and more. It’s all about taking charge of your HEALTH and WELLBEING. You may ask - but where do I start and how to create a HOLISTIC SPACE for myself – in my HOME or elsewhere – for example in NATURE? So, you can unwind and sit with your thoughts or just revel in the peaceful ambiance of your own personal healing space.

One way to start is to choose a room or a corner that you can make into a healing space. If you already have a favorite place that you can use – wonderful. If it has good natural light and view of the outdoors – even better. Then consider what activities you find most healing and adapt the space to them. Do you love to read? Move a comfortable chair and good light into the space. Do you meditate? Perhaps a water fountain or relaxing/soothing music would help you to relax and focus.

And don’t forget the GARDEN! Having a GARDEN got many benefits, and the closer it is to your HOME and the more you visit it, the more positive effect on stress. GARDENING is also a good exercise! Short contact with NATURE can significantly reduce stress, reduce anger and fear and increase pleasant feelings. So, if you have views of trees or other plants or natural elements, find a comfortable place where you can enjoy them.

Along with your physical space, consider your INNER ENVIRONMENT as well. Realize that optimism, hardiness, self-efficacy, and a sense of control are linked to good health and that they can be learned and practiced. A clean INNER ENVIRONMENT is a peaceful and open MIND, a loving HEART and a healthy, thriving SOUL.

We can only truly accomplish anything of lasting significance in our OUTER ENVIRONMENT while acting from a life-affirming INNER ENVIRONMENT.

Start with setting a positive intention for your interactions at HOME and outside in NATURE!

FRESH MINT is one of the oldest culinary herbs known to mankind. The tiny green leaves can be grown easily at home. MINTS remarkable medicinal properties have made it one of the most commonly known and used herbs ever. Indians use this cooling herb a lot in their kitchen. In summer time, you should particularly add MINT to your diet - MINT is very cooling, aids in digestion and also helps for breathing disorders. ⁠

QUOTE – HAPPINESS is not out there, it’s in you.

HAPPINESS comes from deep inside ourselves and not out there as many of us are conditioned to think.

This QUOTE really resonates with me as I have learnt over time to understand that looking outside of me for LOVE, PASSION, FULFILMENT and PEACE just doesn’t work.

You can’t buy HAPPINESS in your life - it is a feeling that you experience. It does not relate to the luxury which you live, it is a simple joy in your life which gives true HAPPINESS. Doing what you LOVE is the best HAPPINESS in your life!

Start looking inside yourself and slowly over time you will find that you didn’t need your mother’s LOVE to make you HAPPY, you didn’t need her approval to make you feel good, you have to feel good about yourself first. Start working on yourself.

How to increase your HAPPINESS? Exercise your MIND with these new practices – the fitter your MIND will be!
* Stop looking outside to fulfil your needs, look inside to what makes you happy
* Increase your exercise or start walking
* Meditate to create a positive emotion in your life
* Take time out for yourself
* Smile – it stops negativity in its tracks
* Push out of your comfort zone
* Journal – start writing down the good things that happen to you
* Read at least 2 pages per day
* Consciously be aware of negative thoughts
* Sing – put the music on and sing your heart out!
* Do something for somebody else without any expectations of the outcome
* Take healthy food and enough water
* Use motivational and positive words
* Enough sleep to relax and unwind
* Do things that you like to simply make you happy

HAPPINESS is what you feel every moment - felt from within! Try being HAPPY no matter what happens and you will notice the difference. All it takes is one good smile to get started.
