Never Skip Sunscreen ☀️

Applying broad-spectrum SPF 50 sunscreen is essential for protecting your skin from the harmful effects of the sun’s ultraviolet (UV) rays. Whether it’s a bright sunny day or a cloudy one, UV rays can still pe*****te your skin, causing premature aging, sunburn, and increasing the risk of skin cancer.

Most dermatologists recommend reapplying sunscreen every 2-3 hours, especially if you're sweating, swimming, or exposed to direct sunlight for long periods. However, in cases where you have minimal sun exposure indoors, a 6 to 8-hour gap between applications may be sufficient. Here’s why:

1️⃣ Broad-Spectrum Protection

SPF 50 blocks 98% of UVB rays, reducing the chances of sunburn.

2️⃣ Longer Duration for Indoor & Limited Sun Exposure

If you're indoors for most of the day, away from windows, your sunscreen application can last 6 to 8 hours without needing a reapplication.

3️⃣ Water Resistance Matters

If you sweat a lot or swim, even water-resistant sunscreens lose effectiveness over time, so frequent reapplication is crucial.

If your sunscreen is labeled "water-resistant (80 minutes)," you must reapply every 2 hours when swimming or sweating.

4️⃣ Cloudy Days Are Deceptive

Up to 80% of UV rays pe*****te clouds, so even if the sun isn’t visible, your skin is still exposed.
UV rays reflect off surfaces like water, sand, and concrete, increasing exposure.

5️⃣ Sunscreen as an Anti-Aging Shield

Regular sunscreen use prevents wrinkles, fine lines, and hyperpigmentation.

*How to Apply Sunscreen Properly

✔ Use the right amount – About two fingers' worth (½ teaspoon) for the face and a shot glass amount (1 oz) for the body.
✔ Apply 15-20 minutes before sun exposure to allow it to absorb properly.
✔ Don’t forget key areas – Ears, neck, hands, and lips (use SPF lip balm).
