20 years ago, a younger version of me, still figuring things out and not envisioning a career in gynecology, walked into BJMC, Pune. It was there, thanks to inspiring teachers, that I fell in love with women’s health. The intense and transformative years of postgraduate training at KEM Hospital, Mumbai, under the able guidance (and some tough love!) of my teachers, were absolutely pivotal in solidifying my skills and passion. My journey then took me to Gujarat for a couple of years, where working independently as a surgeon built my confidence and I found my calling - Laparoscopy.
Now, back in Mumbai, I’ve embarked on a new chapter with my own clinic, Snowdrops Clinic, which opened last year. And yes, despite the often high-pressure world of Gynecology, I’ve somehow become that slightly atypical, (mostly!) calm OBGYN.
As I complete a decade as a gynaecologist, I feel incredibly thankful to be doing what I love. It has been such a ride and I am so excited for coming years!
