We operated on this patient for Deep Infiltrating Bowel Endometriosis by doing a Segmental resection of the involved bowel. It was so nice of her to acknowledge our efforts by writing this long but rather sweet note in Marathi. It also highlights the fact about how Endometriosis patient are misdiagnosed and often mismanaged. I am so thankful to my team. This is the translated version.

My name is Mrs. Vidya Hiraman Bhamre
from Gangapur , Nasik.

Since last 4 years I was suffering from severe pain in abdomen, backache, painful defecation and painful micturition on and off too. Initially I took medicine for my abdominal pain, but it was of no use. So I visited a local general physician who gave me medicine and followed the treatment he suggested.
Then we met the highly qualified specialist doctor. We performed all the tests suggested by him and took all the expensive medication and injections they gave. But the exact diagnosis of disease was not clarified by them and treatment was ineffective
Considering our economical condition we decided to go to the famous Sion hospital in Mumbai and started taking treatment there. We performed all the tests ( endoscopy, colonoscopy ,CT scan)and followed the treatment but was of no use. In fact doctors were not clear about the diagnosis of my disease.
My problems were increasing day by day as if I was not going to survive.

But it's said in Marathi that "no one can harm u if God is saving you him self"

I got the address of angel doctor Hemant Kanojiya , who is highly qualified and specialised, from our gynec from Nasik. After taking insight of my worsening condition and all my reports and file I was advised to take doctors opinion as soon as possible.
My relatives (husband) send all reports on WhatsApp to doctor and doctor too asked to take medicine until he returns from his foreign visit. And asked to perform some test like MRI

Considering our economical status he got it done in very economical way.After studying reports he advised me an operation and explained all the possible consequences.
Because of our economical condition , my husband was worried about the operation.
We didn't contact the doctor for few days because of which doctor got the idea of our financial condition .
Doctor himself called us and assured us that the operation will be carried out at very low prices and rest he will take care of everything. So we decided to go for the operation in Mumbai.

Doctor immediately made arrangements for operation.

My operation was carried out on 2nd of June 2023. It was a major surgery where they had to remove a part of my bowel and join the remaining portion with stapler.
After finishing the surgery doctor came outside the operation theatre and assured that I all was fine and I was free of my 4 year long disease now.
I got support of such a noble doctor and consider this as my second birth.
Now ,it is more than 3 months after surgery and I am free painful defecation and other problems,without any bad consequences of this very major surgery.

This is how bowel endometriosis looks like. Patient is totally relieved of her symptoms.

Good correlation with MRI, USG and actual pathology specimen.

Sigmoid nodule at the level of the pelvic brim near the L o***y.

Nodule measuring

3 cm with depth of infiltration 8-9 mm Involving 30-40% wall circumference, 17-18 cms from the a**l verge.

Patient had dyschezia constipation and sub occlusive symptoms

Has 2 living issues. We did a segmental bowel resection.

Isolated sigmoid nodules are not as common as recto sigmoid nodules
