Amblyopia (also called lazy eye)
*A type of poor vision that happens in just 1 eye.
* Amblyopia occurs in early childhood.
*It develops when there's a breakdown in how the brain and the eye work together, and the brain can't recognize the sight from 1 eye.
* Decreased eyesight due to abnormal visual development.
* When nerve pathways between the brain and an eye aren't properly stimulated, the brain favours the other eye.
* Symptoms include a wandering eye, eyes that may not appear to work together or poor depth perception. Gradually Both eyes may be affected.
* Treatment includes eye patches, drops, glasses or contact lenses and sometimes surgery.
* Condition is correctable when treated on time .

Get you kids examined yearly .

Puneet lives with us donating vision to 4 people..

Message from his corneal transplant team:

We were successful in transplanting Puneet eyes
To 4 Cornea blind patients today
We used a very advanced technique of dissection of
Anterior stroma and just the endothelial layer
Stroma was transplanted on
2 patients with stromal scar
Other 2 endothelium were
Transplanted usikg a technique
Called Descemets stripping
Endothelial keratoplasty
( Dsek) where only endothelial
Cells are transplanted
So eventually one cornea was eligible For two patients
for the transplant
Scleral rim was sent to our
Stem cell lab for makikg
IPSC stem cells / Limbal stem cells , used for chemical injuries
Or Steven Johnson eye related
