Humbled and grateful to share with you the great response we received for the 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉𝒚 𝑳𝒖𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝑪𝒂𝒎𝒑 !!
A small idea about helping people find answer and cure to their breathlessness soon, leading to early diagnosis & hence better prognosis, transformed into a community level awareness camp
Over 120 people screened for Lung disease using PFT and functional testing on day 1
On Day 2 , over 150 people attended lectures by Dr. Sejal Bheda Gogri MPT ( Cardio Respiratory Physiotherapist) and Dr. Prachi Shah, Pulmonologist

This camp was successful in raising awareness about Lung health, role of Exercises and Pulmonary Rehabilitation , debunking myths about Oxygen therapy, using steroids for medication , adherence to treatment and vaccination

It wouldn't have been possible without the unconditional support of Dr. Prachi for the interactive lecture and guidance to patients, *Society of Cardiovascular & Pulmonary Rehabilitation* for helping with physiotherapist volunteers and assessment , *Matunga Murtipujak Shwetambar Sangh* for the venue, *Lupin and Cipla* for PFT testing .

Today is *World Pulmonary Hypertension Day* !!

*Causes*
Chronic lung condition
Hypoxia ( low SPO2)
Untreated Sleep apnea
Blood clots in lungs
Secondary to systemic hypertension

*SYMPTOMS*
Shortness of breath
Fatigue
Chest pain

Today we are going to talk about *Hypoxia* ( low oxygen in blood/ body )

In chronic lung condition, when the SpO2 starts dropping in day to day tasks , Supplemental oxygen is advised for few hours to 24 hours , depending on severity
Patients & care givers usually fear *Oxygen Dependancy/ addiction* and avoid or delay taking supplemental oxygen ( interestingly we don't starve ourselves when hungry , we eat .. same way when our lungs are not able to give enough Oxygen to body , we should supplement)

However ,the more we delay in starting oxygen the more increase in chance of getting Pulmonary Hypertension

The blood vessels in Lungs starts constricting and more often than not , these changes are *irreversible* !!

Better Safe than Sorry !!

On occasion of World Physiotherapy Day , CaRe Physio & Rehab is organizing FREE Physiotherapy Consultation Camp for Diabetes

Venue : CaRe Physio & Rehab clinic, Sion or Online (WhatsApp or Zoom).

Date 5th - 10th September 2022.

Time : Between 3 pm to 7 pm as per Prior appointment (compulsory).

Duration : 30 minutes.

Requirements
1. Booking appointment is compulsory.
