2020 has finally passed but pandemic is still lingering on...
As a surgeon, 2020 was very challenging. Every patient was a potential positive, capable of infecting others. I had my old parents at home. So I was always fearful of carrying infection home. But I had tobwork as a breast surgeon.
So many patients came with breast cancers, who were sitting at home due to lockdown, not knowing whom to approach as most hospitals drove away non-covid patients. Also patients were scared of going to bigger hospitals.
I kept on working from April onwards , operating on cancer patients. I was scared so many times hearing stories of my colleagues who lost their lives.
But I kept faith in the Lord and continued working. It was very satisfying. It gave me courage, determination and made me strong. Yes, I came out much stronger, fearless and very humble human being. I am more grateful than ever before.
Oandemic has taught me a lot and made me a better human.
Hope the world heals fast in 2021 and we resume our lives normally.
May God bless us all!
