In a world where diet trends come and go, intermittent fasting (IF) has emerged as a popular and scientifically-backed approach to improving health and promoting weight loss. This blog will delve into the concept of intermittent fasting, its various methods, and the potential benefits it offers.

What is Intermittent Fasting?

Intermittent fasting is not a diet in the traditional sense; it's a pattern of eating that alternates between periods of eating and fasting. During the fasting periods, you abstain from food or significantly reduce calorie intake. The goal is to extend the body's natural fasting state, which typically occurs while you sleep, into a longer and more deliberate period.

Methods of Intermittent Fasting

The 16/8 Method: This popular method involves fasting for 16 hours each day and restricting your eating to an 8-hour window. For example, you might eat between 12 PM and 8 PM and fast from 8 PM to 12 PM the next day.

The 5:2 Diet: In this approach, you eat normally for five days of the week and restrict calorie intake to about 500-600 calories on the other two non-consecutive days.

The Eat-Stop-Eat Method: With this method, you fast for a full 24 hours once or twice a week. For instance, you might finish dinner at 7 PM one day and not eat again until 7 PM the following day.
Alternate-Day Fasting: As the name suggests, you alternate between fasting days and regular eating days. On fasting days, calorie consumption is minimal.

The Warrior Diet: This involves eating small amounts of raw fruits and vegetables during the day and having one large meal in the evening, typically within a 4-hour eating window.

Chickpea - A perfect vegan protein !!💪💪💪
🔹️Indian dishes have always been centred around providing nutritious food in a tasty fashion. So when it came to including protein in our diets, we decided to take some chickpeas (Garbanzo) and turn it into something delicious, namely chhole-bhature, kadala curry, chana chaat – you name it! .
👉Calories wise both the beans are similar while the black chana has slightly more protein,fiber and less fat when compared to white.
👉Both the beans are great for weight loss and muscle gain as they contain more fiber , protein and keep you full for a longer time.
ℹNote : Kala Chana contains Anti-nutritional agents such as trypsin, tannic acid, complex carbohydrates, oligosaccharides, chymotrypsin, etc.,. Sprouting kala chana will disable its effect.
