My journey
I graduated from KIMS, Bangalore, India with MBBS degree in medicine in 2012. I realized my dream during this period, it was pursuing a long-term career in orthopedics. I passed with a gold medal in orthopedics from SDUMC, Kolar, India in 2015. I had the privilege to work in BIRRD hospital Tirupati which ignited my passion for pediatric orthopedics.
Inspired, I followed up my interests and worked hard to get the prestigious pediatric orthopedics, hand and spine fellowship in BJ Wadia children’s hospital, Mumbai. I spent 2 years learning the crafts under eminent mentors in the country and passed with flying colors with a super-specialist degree. In that period i had multiple national and international presentations and posters. I also was awarded the POSI pediatric orthopedic travelling fellowship. I got to travel and learn from some amazing surgeons which filled my eagerness to learn and evolve.
I was later selected for the Pediatric orthopedic fellowship in Cincinnati children’s hospital in 2017 and broadened my horizons and skills. In 2018 I moved to UK where I spent 2 years super specializing in young adult and adolescent hip and limb reconstruction fellowship at Sheffield children’s hospital. During my journey I have had the privilege to publish many articles with my mentors and colleagues. I knew I always wanted to come back to India and bring back all the new things I learnt to provide best quality care to the children of our nation.
