There was a time when shaadi season stressed me out more than it excited me.

Not because of the weddings, but because I didn’t know how to enjoy them without feeling guilty, bloated, or “off track.”
What changed was learning how to eat mindfully, plan realistically, and trust that one weekend never undoes real progress.

Now weddings feel fun again, not overwhelming, because I’m in control, not the food.

I made choices I wouldn’t make today, ignored signals I should have listened to, and carried way more than I had to. But I also loved fiercely, grew quietly, and learned painfully.

I used to think my favourite foods were the reason I couldn’t stay consistent. Turns out, it wasn’t the pav bhaji or the pizza that slowed me down. It was the guilt that followed every bite. The moment I stopped labelling foods as “bad” and learned how to tweak them to fit my goals, my whole journey shifted.

You don’t need to cut out the foods you love… you just need to understand them better. Progress feels a lot lighter when guilt isn’t part of the meal.

When Sukanya joined us, she wasn’t chasing a number on the scale
She had a bigger goal, to feel good in her body again

She was struggling with
