Roch Foundation Health & Cancer Screening Camp – Mankhurd Slums (14 June 2025)

We successfully conducted a health awareness and cancer screening camp at the Mankhurd slums on 14th June 2025. The response from the local community was heartwarming, with over 150 people participating in the camp!

Services offered at the camp:
✅ Blood Pressure & Random Blood Sugar screening
✅ Bone Mineral Density (BMD) testing
✅ Orthopedic & Physician consultations
✅ Breast Screening (iScan)

Findings from the camp:
🔸 36 women underwent breast screening – 5 were identified as positive and advised for further evaluation
🔸 4 potential oral malignant lesions detected
🔸 To***co chewing prevalence – nearly 60% of males screened

This camp was conducted in a very challenging environment — near the Deonar dumping ground, an area affected by poor air & water quality and economic hardships (many residents are daily wage earners or unemployed).

We are committed to following up with all patients identified as potentially malignant to ensure they receive timely treatment. Early diagnosis can save lives!

A big thank you to Gunvanti Foundation, Mangalanand Hospital Chembur, and most importantly, the people of Mankhurd for their enthusiastic participation and trust.

We look forward to conducting more such camps in the future to spread awareness and promote early cancer detection.

Rajendra Onco Care and Health (ROCH) Foundation
Updates of Thane 7th April 2024 camp in collaboration with Fortis hospital , IDA thane, Rakeshji.

With a mega team of 75 medics and paramedics.
And a team of 20 volunteers. The camp was a grand success.

• 593 individuals took part in the camp.
• 1268 individual blood investigations done.
• 70 x-rays
• 215 ECG's
• 204 bone densitometries
• 132 body composition analysis
• 600 + physician consultations.
• 600 + dental consultations.
• 93 orthopaedic consultations
• 60 cardiology consultations
• 48 surgery consultations.
• 25 nephrology and ophthalmology consultations
• 122 physiotherapy sessions and consultations.
• 30 gynaecology consultations.

How did the community benefit?

• 1 new cancer case detected and 3 patients in precancerous stage detected
• 150 patients received calcium supplements.
• 150 patients received protein supplements.
• 400 individuals underwent optometry testing.
• 40+ patients had abnormal ECG during workup.
• 8 patients were diagnosed with cardiology problems requiring intervention.
• 70 out of 204 patients were found to have osteopenia, with some having osteoporosis.
• 16 patients newly diagnosed with abnormal blood sugars.
• 120 patients were found to have blood sugars above normal range.
• 45 patients found to have abnormal blood pressure.

The medical camp received esteemed guests including Shri Rajan Vichareji. (Member of Parliament, Thane), Shri Niranjan Davkhareji (Member of Legislative Assembly, Thane), and Shri Sanjay Kelkarji (Member of Legislative Assembly, Thane).

The camp provided valuable insights into individuals' personal health levels and highlighted the prevalence of multiple co-morbid conditions within the community.

ROCH FOUNDATION is organizing a free health camp named Rajendra Health Multispeciality Camp 2. This camp aims to provide medical help and guidance to the community. Here are the details of the free medical services available at the camp:

Specialist Consultations: The camp will have specialists from various medical fields available for consultations. These include Surgical Cancer, Medical Cancer, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Gynecology, Nephrology, Diabetic, Urology, Orthopedic, Dental, Physician and Homeopathic consultants.

Medical Tests: In addition to consultations, the camp will also offer various medical tests. People can avail tests like ECG, BMD, eye vision test, PSA, CBC, diabetes test, kidney function test, liver function test. BMI machine screening, diabetic neuropathy screening, fibroscan, chest X-ray, Cardiac markers, and Cancer markers will also be available.

Open for All: The camp is open to everyone in the community. This is a great opportunity to get consultations and medical tests done by specialists for free. Important to note: Registration is compulsory for attending the camp.

Rajendra Onco Care and Health foundation under leadership of Dr Hitesh Singhavi in association with JVM educational Institute Airoli, and Thyrocare , vaishali nagar is organising a 'Cancer awareness and no to***co day' campaign on this Doctor's day 1 St July 2023.

Our youth today is fanning it's wings everyday. Exposure to new culture , forming of good habits and some unacceptable ones too.

Our Aim in this venture is to make the Gen Z aware by actively participating in this no to***co campaign in the form of skit , quiz , an interactive session all, of the youth, for the youth , by the youth .

ROCH foundation under guidance of Dr Jinesh Singhavi has now opened its wings in northern India , at none other than the city of Delhi. Here, a free oncology camp in association with the Delhi Merchants Trust is being organised twice every month for the benefit of people.

As we remember Him, Late Shri Rajendra Singhavi our father and mentor, whose vision drives us ,on his third death anniversary. Let's make this world a better place , by educating the new comers rightly and timely. So that a bright and addiction free future embraces us.

ROCH foundation with support of fortis hospital Celebrated world cancer day a week before with more than 700 patients coming for check ranging from specialist consultation including cancer surgeon, radiation oncologist, medical oncologist , ophthalmologist, Prosthodontists, dentists, optometrists and blood investigations(more than 7 were free ) , mammography, BMD,BCA and eye check up.

Occasion was graced by Shri Uddhavji Thackeray, Our MP Shri Rajanji Vichare and Shri Awahadji.

We catered to more than 4000 audiences about ill effects of to***co and preventive strategies of cancer.

ROCH team lead in fours camps serving more than 2500 people.

ROCH team were involved in more than seven international publication in this year.

A major multi-speciality camp was successful conducted on 11 th December 2022. ROCH Foundation in association with Fortis hospital and Walchand builders treated more than 500 patients FREE of cost for all the services provided.
Major highlights of this camp:
1) A dedicated paediatric doctors group consulted more than 100 children giving them vaccines and multivitamin supplements.
2) Breast Cancer screening done in all female patients.Further investigation like mammography was done in high risk females which was around 50
3)Oral Cancer Screening and consultation were done in all patients
4) More than 300 blood investigations done to the patients after physician's recommendation.
5) Comprehensive Cardiac health check up were done in all patients which included BP, ECG, consultation and blood investigations. More than 150 ECGs were done
6) Orthopaedic consultation given with Physiotherapy management and medicine supplements.
7) Other important screening included Dental, Surgical, BMD, BMI, Homeopathy.
