January Group Yoga Class 2022

I had something really special planned for this batch. I thought of collaborating with some of my friends who also happen to be professionals in their respective field.

Introducing Guest No. 3:
Dr. Saili Mahadik.
A Psychiatrist by profession, Saili has done her MBBS from GMC and JJ Hospital, and has done her post-graduation in Psychiatry from Seth GSMC and KEM Hospital. She is currently working as a senior resident in LTMH and Sion Hospital. In addition to this, she has worked closely with COVID patients as a consultant, both in ICU and wards, during which she practised yoga as a way to destress.

She is a strong believer of _mens sana in corpore sano_ - a sound mind in a sound body. Being a mental health professional, she understands how important physical activity is to keep the mind functioning optimally.
As someone who encourages yoga practice for neuroses & psychoses alike, she joined our Yoga batch to explain to us, with evidence-based knowledge, how yoga therapy can be a great supplement in aiding with recovery from depression, anxiety, and for rehabilitation in substance use disorders and even psychotic disorders.

Her advice has helped us to understand the delicate balance between the mind and the body, and how we can work to be the best version of ourselves.

January Group Yoga Class 2022

I had something really special planned for this batch. I thought of collaborating with some of my friends who also happen to be professionals in their respective field.

Introducing Guest No. 2 : Dr. Sailee Pandere.
A physiotherapist by profession and a Yoga practitioner herself, Sailee has achieved her bachelor's degree in physiotherapy from Maharashtra University of health sciences and did her internship in KEM hospital Parel, she is currently pursuing her post graduation in Neuro from Maharashtra University of health sciences and has a clinical experience of 2.5 years in fields of neurological conditions in adults and paediatric population as well. She has also been actively involved in rehabilitation of Covid survivors and has closely worked with patients in Covid ICU and wards.

She joined our Yoga batch to create awareness about how important it is to understand the body you live in and how small changes in your daily habits can make a big difference to your health. She believes that body is to be worshipped holistically and thus she wants to make our clients believe in the science of mind, body and well being. She also aims at creating awareness about how to deal with health conditions in a right way and not fall into the hoax traps based on her knowledge about human body and medical science. She intends to deliver her best knowledge to help our clients.Her advice has helped us to be more aware of our *body and habits* even when we aren't practicing Yoga.

January Group Yoga Class 2022

I had something really special planned for this batch. I thought of collaborating with some of my friends who also happen to be professionals in their respective field.

Introducing Guest No. 1: Moeina Shaikh.
A nutritionist by profession, Moeina has achieved her Bachelor's of Science in Food and Nutrition followed by post graduation in clinical nutrition and dietetics, specialization in pediatrics nutrition. She has also worked as an intern in renowned hospitals of Bombay, namely, Nair hospital, Sion hospital & Tata memorial hospital.

She joined our Yoga batch to share the importance of nutrition while practicing Yoga. It was lovely to know how Correct practice along with a healthy diet is so important for a happy life.
