Keeping the focus on my work and my tarot learning journey I asked the cards what is the energy for this week and what is the message that my cards have for me?
Queen of Cups told me that I am going by my intuition to make sure to get guidance to people who are around me, but I need to also make sure to nurture myself in the whole process. I might be giving too much to people around me and I need to make sure to give myself that much required TLC. I need to balance myself to become the Queen I need to in my work or my tarot journey
The Magician suggested I need to believe in myself as I already have whatever I am manifesting. There are new things coming my way which will be both emotionally and financially abundant. There are big things that are yet to come in my life and I should make sure to allow myself to live up to my fullest potential.
The Hierophant said that I am in a phase of learning and soaking in the knowledge. I might even come across a mentor who will be able to guide me. So, to become a Queen and work my Magic like The Magician, I need to absorb all the knowledge and skills that I might be taught.

What is Tarot?

There are many spreads in a tarot card reading. Today I will be talking in brief about the Horseshoe spread.

The horseshoe spread got its name due to the placement of the cards in the spread. This spread gives the querent (the person who is taking the reading), a wider perspective of the events and happenings in the querent’s life. As I have mentioned previously, tarot is not a predictive tool but it is a guidance tool. It gives a sneak peek at the reason for things that happen in the querent’s life.

Coming back to the spread in discussion, every card has a significance in the spread depending on the position of the card and what card is drawn out. It speaks volumes about turn of events that have happened in the past which has affected not only the present but also the querent and their attitude towards life. It also shows the querent what their near future could be like along with the environment that has an influence in it. It shows the hopes and fears that the querent might have and last but not the least it shows a picture about what the long-term future holds for the querent. There is a specific sequence in which this spread is interpreted. And based on the cards that are drawn out, the querent gets a overall idea of what great spiritual and important lessons he or she needs to learn and what changes he or she can bring about in their life in order to realize their dreams of a successful and satisfying life.

The origin of tarot cards is still a mystery. Some say it came from the magical and mysterious land of Egypt, whereas some theorize that it originated in France. However, in 1780's tarot was used in France and England for predictions. Thereafter, in 1909, A. E. Waite created the Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot System. Rider being the first publisher and Pamela Colman Smith, the artist.
