🎗️ Endometriosis Awareness Month – March 2026

As part of Endometriosis Awareness Month, ICMR - National Institute for Research in Reproductive and Child Health (ICMR-NIRRCH), Mumbai, and Model Rural Health Research Unit (MRHRU), Vani, District Nashik, Maharashtra, conducted an Endometriosis Awareness and Help-Seeking Session on 10th March 2026 at CES’s Michael High School, Kurla, Mumbai.

The session engaged over 400 adolescent girls and focused on increasing awareness of menstrual health, menstrual hygiene, and early recognition of endometriosis symptoms. Students were guided in understanding the menstrual cycle, recognising warning signs such as severe menstrual pain, heavy bleeding, and persistent pelvic discomfort, and the importance of seeking timely medical care.

The interactive session was conducted by Ms Nayna Barada (MRHRU Vani) and Ms Apoorva Joshi (Luma Fertility, Mumbai), who led discussions and encouraged students to ask questions openly about menstrual health.

We sincerely thank the Principal, teachers, and students of CES’s Michael High School for their enthusiastic participation and support in organising this programme.

These activities are part of the broader Endometriosis Awareness Month outreach initiatives, through which MRHRU Vani is working to translate research evidence into community awareness and promote early recognition of endometriosis among adolescents and young women.
