27th July is World Head Neck Oncology day,the day to create awareness about head neck cancer,the 6th common cancer in the world and second most common cancer in India,it includes cancers of the mouth,thyroid ,salivary glands ,lymph nodes,voice box and pharynx.Most common symptoms are a non healing ulcer in the mouth,difficulty in swallowing ,change of voice or a lump in the neck.Don’t ignore above symptoms,see a specialist as soon as possible if no response in these symptoms for maximum 2 weeks.
